Ronnie the Rhino visited GSAL last Wednesday lunch time to help promote the GSAL Charity Walk which is now only a couple of weeks away. The walk is inspired by one of our students, Jacob, 15, who is in remission and just over a year through a treatment programme of three years for leukaemia. Jacob says he is 'thrilled about raising money for disadvantaged and unwell children' which are 'causes which matter very much' to him.
And thank you to Ronnie from all of us at GSAL for lending a hoof for our fundrasing effort.

GSAL Sponsored Walk gets a seal of approval from an Emmerdale star
The GSAL Sponsored Walk on 1st July 2012 has received an endorsement from Sophie
Powles who plays Holly Barton in Emmerdale.
“A huge thank you to The Grammar
School at Leeds for organising such a great event for Teenage Cancer Trust. If
you haven’t signed up to take part in the sponsored walk yet, there is still
time. You don’t have to be sporty to give it a go, just take your time, enjoy it
and have a fun day with your friends! It’s just one day of your life to help a
teenager just like you! So come on everyone, no excuses! The more people who get
involved, the more funds can be raised for this fantastic charity. Hope you all
have an awesome day! All my love and luck! Sophie xxx”
